The Love Of God

You know, lovely friend, God is just overflowing with love for you. No matter who you are, we all need this reminder sometimes. You are seriously loved.

God loves you the maximum amount that it’s possible for a Perfect Father to love His child.

God loves you the maximum amount a Creator can love His creation.

 God loves you to the uttermost, to the very limit of what your tender heart can hold, and beyond.

Faster than any brokenness or fear or dry season can empty you, the love of God can replenish you again.

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”

Did you know that scientists estimate humankind has only discovered around 6% of what is beneath the ocean’s surface? It’s crazy, but we know more about the moon than we do about the waters covering most of the planet we live on. I think about this sometimes and an automatic connection is made between the unknown depths of our oceans and the depths of God’s heart. We have only just begun to learn how much our Heavenly Father truly loves us. God’s love for you could fill the world’s oceans many times over. He has so much love in His heart for you that you could never fully wrap your mind around it. None of us can. The Lord pours His love out over you every day, and it wraps you up like one of those waves that sweeps you off your feet while swimming at the beach. The love of God washes over you like a breath-taking tropical storm – blue and serene. No dam could hold it back. None of our dirt stands a chance in His downpour of affection. You have never been unloved.

“So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!”

At every stage and season of life, you have been loved by the Divine. If you are facing a storm, hold on and remember God’s heart for you is a fierce storm in itself.

“You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.”

God loves who you used to be.

God loves the person you are now.

God loves who you will become.

Your very existence makes God happy! He loves loving you! You were created to experience the depth and width and height of God’s extraordinary love in all its dimensions, and to be a channel for His love to flow into the lives of those around you. So, today I pray you feel flooded by perfect, blessedly permanent love. Nothing is truly unchangeable or inevitable or unstoppable apart from God’s love for you. Your Heavenly Papa won’t change His mind. He is here to stay. He loves you and He is for you. Everything in your life could change overnight, but His heart for you never will.

Soak this truth in right now, and let it drown your worries.
